Shania's Fun Fair ~ Bow 2 For The Silent Auction

I got another bow made for the silent auction.  Here is the original post so you can read what the silent auction is all about.  I made this bow based on a tutorial I saw and it was SO much easier than the way I did my last one.  I really enjoyed picking out the ribbon from my stash.

I've also got a couple bows that I made before that I'll be adding to the silent auction.  I'll get some pictures of those tomorrow.  Blessings!!!!!!

Shania's Fun Fair ~ Bow 1 For The Silent Auction

I am SUPER excited about my newest project.  I'm going to be making a "flower bouquet" for a silent auction at Shania's Fun Fair.

Shania was a little girl that went to my daughter's school when my daughter was in kindergarten.  Shania had neuroblastoma cancer and was only 8 years old when she passed away.  It was only 5 months after my precious Ruby died and I had an instant connection with their family.

Shania made little bracelets and sold them for cancer research.  A few months before she passed away she wanted to have a fun fair to raise money and each year since it has gotten bigger.  This will be the 6th year that it will be happening and I'm making some goodies to sell in her store as well as the silent auction piece.

This little girl had a heart of gold and her goal in her short life was to raise as much money for neuroblastoma cancer so "no other little kid will ever have to go through what I did."  What a brave little soul.

So.... here is my first bow that will be in the "bouquet".  If you've never heard of one before, check out this link and you'll know what I'm talking about. hehe

I'm getting this really pretty vase cover to go over a mason jar.  How cute is it??

This is the bow I made this morning, and I just started getting into using bottle cap images.  This one is from ArtBoxGraphics and it's my fav sheet that she sells.  I used a glitter epoxy dot over the image and it turned out really adorable!!!  That's what I needed the 1 inch punch for that I went and got today.  =D

I'm looking forward to making more bows and some sunflower necklaces and magnets.  I'll be sure to share them as they are made.  Blessings!!!!!

Couple Projects With My Cameo

Finally got around to taking some pictures of the projects I've been working on. =D  I've been busy cleaning the house and chasing around kids, this weekend has been just a little crazy.  lol

One of my new adventures is making birthday cards for the nurses to give at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital to give to those little munchkins who have to spend their birthdays at the hospital.  Here are 3 cards I made using the same design with different colours.  I used the cameo to cut everything out.

I'd love to have more cards to give when I take mine down.  If this is something you'd like to do, please let me know and I'll give you my address to send them to.  You can send 1, 10, or as many as you like.  I won't need envelopes and I'd like to keep it to 2 different sizes:  5" x 5" or 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

I have a mama who's little one is having a birthday in a few months.  She was having trouble making a card so I asked if I could make them for her.  While waiting on her thread reply, I went ahead and made an example.  They are SO cute!!!! I can't wait to make the real ones soon. hehe

The little gems are from a cell phone decoration I got at the dollar store.  I cut the little gems apart and plopped them where I thought they'd look cute.

It's Almost Here!!!! My Silhouette Cameo =D

I am SOOOOO excited.  My silhouette cameo is waiting at the post office for my hubby to pick up after work.  I can't wait to get it and started cutting some stuff out.  I've been planning all kinds of things with the software and can't contain my excitement.  I reworked my computer area in the main living area so that it's near the printer and laptop.  I'll be sure to share some projects soon. hehe =D

Update:  WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! It's here, it was incredibly easy to set up, and I'm working on printing out the 2nd project.  It's a little noisy but not overly bothersome.  I love the way it cuts.  I'm very happy with it. hehe

Happy 5th Going Home Anniversary Ruby!!

Ruby was born with her bottom 2 teeth.  Our first night home I spent with my finger in her mouth helping her to cut them through.  =D

I miss my baby girls bright blue eyes (my other kiddolets have my brown eyes) and super sweet face.

My little sweetpea taking advantage of her sister being at school to play with the fun toys ALL BY HERSELF!!! She was SO happy that day. hehe

It's been 5 years since I said goodbye to my little girl and encouraged her to go home to her Saviour.  One of RooBoo's favourite songs was You Are My Sunshine.  I used to sing it to her most every night before she went to bed as we looked outside at the stars. Ruby was a spunky little girl who liked to get into anything that she could.  She had a vibrant sparkle in her eye and loved to be snuggled.  I really miss my little girl and can't wait until I am called home.  I can't wait to hold her in my arms again and sing to her.

I made this little freebie with her in mind.  I hope you like it. =)

Cards I Made This Week (a few days late)

Just wanted to put this up as a reminder about my Ruby Tuesday 1 Year Anniversary Giveaway (which also reminds me that I need to take a picture of the loot hehe)

So... anywho, this giveaway will be going on until February 14th.

Here's how it works.....

Every Tuesday that you comment on from the beginning of 2012 until the 14th will give you an entry for the draw.
I got a bit busy this weekend and didn't get a chance to post these on the weekend.  I went on a bit of a craft binge.  I had a really great time.

First is an order for one of my mama's.  She wanted little envelopes to go with them.
Bear and Puppy are by Bugaboo Stamps

Added a couple of "Hugs" cards to the collection.  These pixies are just too adorable. Both cards have the same inside.
Hug Sentiment by Create with TLC

Another sweet little digi stamp by Bugaboo Stamps.  He's one of my favourites, look how adorable he is looking over that little log.

I'm finally using some of the stamps I coloured up last year while doing my light therapy.  This little potted cutie is by Bugaboo Stamps.

Dustin Pike made this cute little cake piece.  He is awesome and I love the story behind his drawing.  He's such an inspiration.  =D

If you've never seen the Stella series by Bugaboo Stamps, you SO need to go on over there and see them.  She is hilarious and sarcastic and just makes me giggle.

Cards I Made This Week

Wanted to share a couple of cards I made this week.  I've written out a schedule and I find I'm more motivated to get cards done when I know what theme I want to accomplish.  Week one went well, I got 4 cards made, even my Ruby Tuesday for next week!!!! Yeah!!!!!

This first one was first inspired by the sentiment.  It's by Create with TLC (thanks for the great digi sentiments Paulette!!!) and when I saw it I knew the EXACT!!! little monster I wanted to use.  The little monster is from Stamp Fairy and she had some pretty adorable stamps.

I made a couple little baby sets this week also.  My daughter helped by coordinating the flower pieces, I think she did a wonderful job.  She a bit of a craft junkie like her mama.  lol  The holding hands digi stamp is by Bugaboo Stamps.  How many of us remember when our newborn would hold our finger and our heart would melt.  I have many memories like that with my 3 little puddin' pops.  The inside sentiment is by Rainbow Echo Designs.  I really liked using the same design but using different colours to make both the boy and girl card.

Custom Order ~ Wanted To Share =)

I just finished up a custom order for a friend of mine and wanted to share them with you.  She wanted to have scriptures that she liked to put in a frame that she can change throughout the year.  These are all 4"x6" and she chose the themes.

I've added these scriptures into the mix throughout the year.  You'll be getting them to use for your own projects.  =)
